Further to Jan 29 '23: this is #2. Took as BYO to a popular destination restaurant for dinner with a friend (corkage CAD 35). Consistent notes and at least as good as a year ago. Very good impression despite restaurant distractions and long, lively conversation. Glad to have more--solidly Notable+--and glad I gave a fellow CF fan a bottle after he shared a bottle of less tasty '20 Fort Berens CF (CAD 35 at the BCLDB). Good that the LDB still lists this but says that it's the '18 (vintage notes often unreliable); sadly, current list is CAD 19 (+ 15%). Favorite local discount "chain" has the Cab Sauv (vintage unknown) for CAD 19 (w/5% case discount), but the CS has not been as impressive.

Further to Sept 23 '21 note: I say bottle variation. This bottle was delicious--more like the Sept '19 experience: while medium gold, fruit was there along with more prominent honey note. Rich and tasty and interesting to see so much difference 2+ years later. Overall, seems Notable+ with a caveat about bottle variation.

3/29/2022 9:48:00 PM - deBare: NL is in your backyard: Maple Ridge, Port Moody, Langley, etc--and offer free delivery with CAD 200. Do a search. During our recent stay in YVR, we ordered once from EW and eight times (!) from NL. Their bargoons are limited and come and go, but they're worth watching. Share comments, if any, once you find them.
3/29/2022 9:32:00 PM - Hi Oececnist
Unfortunately, I'm on the other side of Canada from Newfoundland in British Columbia so am unfamiliar with Neighbourhood Liquor - though it seems like a cool place. Canadian liquor laws are so strict that it's impossible to send anything between provinces let alone countries. Good luck in the States - you have a lot of liquor choices that we'll never see in Canada. Cheers.

1/10/2020 12:58:00 PM - Many thanks for your clarification on the rating system. I like it even more now with a possible 12 ratings. Those adjectives are much better than numbers - most are not aware of the difference between 88 & 91.
Indeed, YVR prices are sky high - I understand it now. Yes, serious collecting here is rather tough - I am envious of cellars south of the border...
Thanks for all the great reviews you do. Certainly are insightful.
