We shared the bottle for our 40th Valentines Day. Right out of the nose the wine sang, classic Margauux with deep blackberry, wood, pencil shavings. Decanted about 45 min before tasting. There was still a little closed with fair bit of tannins indicating the wine had plenty of time and probably would continue to improve over the decade. Took about 2 hours to open up. As the wine opened up it was beautifully expressive with over a minute of finish on the palate. Towards the end of dinner, it had a great mid palate experience. Drink now or be patient, the choice is yours.
Wow. Opened and decanted for almost 4 hours. Dense deep and definitely could go 10-15 more years before peak. Classic amarone, dried fruit bounding out of the glass. Tannins pretty well integrated. Almost sweet/syrupy. Paired with bisteeya which is a sweet/savory meat pie…about a perfect pairing for this wine.

A little slow to open up. Initially austere on the front end but opened up somewhat over time, solid finish. Not as overpowering or high tannin as it’s other vintages. Very enjoyable. Quality wine in a tough year.
