I was hoping for more. But still very good. Not really a distinctive wine. 87% Grenache and 13% Syrah
Aromas show muted dark fruit, cherries, and a savouriness to it (beefy?). Also forest floor, like you are deep within a thick damp forest.
The flavours are a bit stewed dark berry and plum fruit, with cherries. Like a slightly bitter fruit sauce made for meats. Getting similar flavours I got from the aromas. Also some cherry cough lozenges type of flavour, and some orange peel/orange zest. Tannins are dusty and smooth and not overpowering, but on the bitter side of the spectrum (not sweet side). Very earthy element as well. Longish finish. I did enjoy the wine. It could have been smoother but the stewed flavours muddle it a bit.

Yellow/hay in colour, clear. Aromas showing lemons, stone fruit, granny smith apples, caramel, smokiness. Flavours follow. Medium weight, acidity + with some tanginess. Vanilla, spices, steeliness. This is aged in oak (there is an unoaked version). Nice wine. Lemon custard creaminess as well.

Some marmalade, brown sugar, honeyed pineapple and apricots. Same as previous although I am also getting a bit of bitterness on the finish. Nice.
