Rich yellow fruit with a slightly tropical profile (pineapple) to it. Freshly baked bread and a hint of vanilla. Considerable amount of power and a very nice wine, albeit in the richer spectrum. Could wish for a bit more freshness. For me: 89-90 points

Balsamic and some dried fruit notes, but freshens up with air. Tar. Rosmary. Quite a bit of brick colour at opening, but more ruby after some air. Good quality fruit. Bit warmth. Some tannins. Very nice quality. Could shed some more tannins, but the fruit at opening suggest this would be best over the near term and within next ten years. Might improve over the near term (<5) if fruit remains and it finds further balance. 92-93 points.

Short note. Airy and lighter styled, rather elegant, precise and delicious. Red fruited with a litte bit of stems on the nose, but quite well integrated. Mostly rasberries with a wilder flare.

8/19/2022 2:46:00 PM - I read your comment on the 2018 Racines StR PN and wanted to gauge your judgment because of thought of buying at an attractive price from JJB. My view ... very impressed with your notes and judgment of wines, hitting areas of past interest with some I knew. Please continue to do this.
