Decant for a good 2 hours. We almost feared it had past due date.... but bit by bit, it opened and delivered its full potential. Superb length, nice cherry notes... a delight

Still youthful and evolving, this wine has a few more years of maturation left in it. The juice is well extracted, with strong notes of ripe cranberry, rose and menthol, delicious now yet may be even better later when the bright fruit flavors may yield to the sappy, tar and sweet cherry aromas. Not quite equal to the power and length of the '01 but darn good.

A power house Barolo. Huge fruit and tannins with an earthy elegance to it. Amazing, marathon finish with gripping tannins. This wine drinks very youthful for its age and was very well made. Years to go before complete perfection.

Outstanding wine. Took to dinner at Caffe dell'Amore in Naples ($25 corkage). Classic tar and roses nose. Burgundy like. Wish I had bought more

Again, great bottle. Very polished at this point, almost Burgudny-like with bramble Pinot fruit and earth. Smooth, smooth finish.
