Took 2 days in fridge to really find itself: Saline, golden delicious apple, earth, anise Palate broad, lacking some concentration, lemon pith, toast, fennel - wet rocks and nice acidity.

Initial flavours of mandarin, citrus and lime, developing a creamy richness from lees contact. There’s spice, complexity and freshness with a hint of bitterness on the finish which is far from distracting. A very good value bottle. CHP 88pts

Fresh & yeasty, crisp and minerally. Very fresh, with citrus fruit a hint of lime but also some peach. Slightly off-dry on the mid-palate, it builds up to a crescendo on the finish. Amazingly complex for a relatively modest white and terrific value. 91 pts.

Second bottle of this vintage. First one was dissapointing and now I was hopeful because of the last notes. Drank it over two days and I am dissapointed again. I think it is to old now and could not find the described acidity. You have to serve it very cold if you want to taste some freshness.

A super Vinho Verde with just the right balance of flavour and acidity to cut through the oiliness of a plate of barbecued fresh sardines. A very nicely judged wine.

Delicious juicy fruit, lemon and tropical notes, with mineral complexity. Skin contact surely contributes. Far more going on than most Vinho Verdes, with considerable body. Great combination of easy gulpability and complexity.

yellow gold colour with some viscosity. citric and ripe stonefruit on the nose. fresh and creamy in the mouth with good concentration of flavours balanced by an acidic lift. dry but with some honeyed accents that appear here and there. good length.

Popped and poured from the fridge. Vibrant and pleasant nose of stony mineral and ripe apple aromas. Medium bodied, dry, rather fruity (a hint of residual sweetness on the finish) delivering a bit unfocused yellow fruit carried nicely by decent acidity. I don't understand the scoring of this wine. It tastes like a decent vinho verde that doesn't match the price (17,9 €) or high scoring. You can get a good vinho verde for half of this price.

Gold in colour with a hint of green. Medium intense nose. Autolytic notes, citrus, lemon, orange, pineapple, melon. High pH, full body, medium intensity in the mouth. Good length but carried by the pH.

We really enjoyed this wine and ended up drinking the entire bottle in one setting. It went very nicely with our scallops. Fresh and light but somehow also had depth. When we bought it they mentioned drinking sooner rather than later. We also aerated it as we poured it. Would definitely buy again if we could find in the US

Leafy herbal nose. Exciting salty peachiness on the palate but it’s all about the texture. It’s like licking the red flesh in the middle of a peach after you’ve removed the stone. Almost furry but not quite. Herbs, minerals and peaches. £12.95 from TWS.

Tasted at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society, Hampshire, UK. Very pale with a fruity nose. Crisp, well-structured and precise wine with fresh acidity and a mineral edge. But the style didn't generally appeal to me.

Stone fruit, kiwi, gooseberry. Spice. Light-bodied. More melon on the palate with less of the citrus you sort of expect based on its weight. Nice hold on the palate.
Would definitely be enjoyed by a Sauv Blanc drinker.

Fruity and aromatic nose with tones of pear, lemon and grass or herbs. On the palate the wine is young and fruity, smooth, light and yet crispy with a slightly bitter finish. A reliable friend!
It counts for this vintage as well!

This is a rich Alvarinho. Grapefruit. Nice viscous texture. Long finish. I will buy more. This blows most Vinho Verde away.

Watery, lime green tints. Nettles, citrus fruits. So crisp and clean, and extremely quaffable. At under £13, this is a brilliant bargain.
