I like to experiment leaving bottles of less than ten euros to age about seven or eight years to see what turns up. It does not matter if the variety is tinta de Toro, Nero d'Avola, sangiovese or, as in this case, monastrell. I usually get wines at their optimum ripening point, slightly oxidized and timely smoothed. On this occasion, this wine is of an old burgundy colour, with orange edges. Purple tones no more. Aromatically it is soft and very well linked, with notes of plums and figs and a roasting touch. On the palate it is shown as a wine with a silky texture, good acidity tip and fully tamed tannins. Moderate length and a tasty aftertaste too. Recommended but just now, lost that youthful exuberance and bloomed this maturity elegance. Label replaced by Sericis CV which I tried its 2016 recently.
Me gusta experimentar dejando botellas de menos de diez euros envejecer unos siete u ocho años para ver qué resulta. No importa si la variedad es tinta de tiro, Nero d'Avola, sangiovese o,como en este caso, monastrell. Normalmente obtengo vinos en su punto de maduración óptimo, ligeramente oxidados y oportunamente suavizados. En esta ocasión, el vino es de un color borgoñón viejo, con bordes anaranjados. nunca más tonos púrpura. Aromáticamente es suave y muy bien ligado, con notas a ciruelas e higos y un toque torrefacto. En boca se muestra como un vino de textura sedosa, buena punta de acidez y taninos totalmente domados. Moderada longitud y sabroso postgusto. Recomendado pero ahora, perdida la exhuberancia juvenil y aflorada la elegancia de madurez. Vino reemplazado por Sericis CV, vino del cual he catado el 2016 recientemente.

Picota cubierto. Nariz intensa, madura, con notas de fruta negra, matices tostados, toques especiados. En boca tiene buen ataque, cuerpo medio, tanino intenso, acidez media, notable estructura y buena longitud. Marcado carácter mediterráneo.
