Steinaktig finish. Bør lagres ytterligere for fullt utbytte.

Livlig syre her og sødmen merkes knapt. Bra balanse. Super finish med steinmineralitet. Litt bitter utgang. Nydelig i vårsola.

Ganske diskre på duft, litt lime og noe bitter frukt (doran? men veldig mildt). Overdrevet, frisk og deilig, uten den store kompleksiteten. Foretrekker nok denne over 2014.

Home dining at Plantation Garden: Been hearing a lot of good things about this producer, my second time trying but I’ve yet to be wowed. Tight on opening, with air it gave the classic Riesling nose of zesty citrus fruits and petrol. On the palate it lacked a little fruit, sweetness-level wise it is a true Kabinett - no pradikat creep here. From previous CT notes, it seems like this is just in an awkward phase. Should have saved some for the second day.

Fresh slate-y mineral, wet pebbles, lemon, lemon zest, white flowers, precise, pure, stoney. A great core of white grapefruit, minerality, citrus, long lip-smacking finish. This is a very racy and pure Kabinett that will develop nicely with a few more years in the bottle, as the 2017 vintage shows through with its high-acidity - one for the acid freaks!

Some initial sponti that blew off as the wine gained weight and cut with air. Needed 3 hours to wake up and shake off a bit of a soft and muted start. I knew this would be young, but was excited to check in on it. Sweet pink grapefruit, mint, and cardamom notes on the nose. Palate showed spiced orange with a long mineral driven mouthwatering finish. This wine had wonderful textural grip while walking that magical line between being mouth filling and light on it's feet all at the same time.

Electric now, yet will reward medium to long term cellaring. Enjoyed with mixed Thai food entrees. Will not touch the others for quite some time. Great bottle. Citrus, lime zest, high acidity, great primary fruit of peach/nectarine. Like I said, electric wine. Full of zest and energy. Drink if you want a palate ride, cellar/hold if you like your fruit more mellow.

There is big stuff and little stuff going on here at the same time. It is so citrusy and apple-like, with tangerine peel and sweet lime, zingy, light, zesty, with tons of slate and soil minerals. It is also subtle, with traces of fine mineral, aromatic seeds, fresh cut cover crop, elegant gold flecked apple and apple skin. It has such a great swallow and finish!

Deilig! Og vil nok holde lenge.

Gouden Kalf (Scheveningen, NL): Alc. 8,0% vol. Bright, focused, intense with delicate scents of fresh lemon and grapefruit, super clear, fresh and mineral, this is a gorgeous Kabinett.

Classic kabinett that actually tastes like kabinett. Green fruit, bit of cream good acid, plenty of slate, enough sugar to balance the acid. Both easily delicious with enough going on to be complex and interesting.

This is very pretty and light - classic Julian Haart flavors and frame - light airy with some combo of orchards, citrus and a touch of exotic. The acid comes out and show more energy on the finish. 16/20.

Crystalline and ripe mix of apple/pear fruit with some lemon/lime, and orange peel accents. Just short of sour on the palate, with good weight, freshness and mineral impressions. With air, a whiff of funky aged cheese and petrol emerge, giving some added complexity. Shows nice lip smacking extract through the palate and in to its graceful finish. Lovely drinking Kabinett that leans slightly sweet, with stunning purity and good supporting structure. I'm in to it.

Pale straw color. Nose of green apple, hints of stone fruit and honeysuckle with a little bit of citrus candy. Mix of stone and citrus fruit on the palate with excellent acidity and a light, crisp mouthfeel and a touch of sweetness on the finish. Light and delicious. Perfect with spicy food.

PnP. Very light straw yellow, clear. At first hints of gasoline, then fruit, fresh and ripe, between peach and something more exotic. On the palate it is very direct, and although fresh, it immediately shows its mineral weight, which becomes the supporting structure of the wine towards the very lively finish, dominated by lemon notes. Beautiful and very complex, a great wine. Too bad this is my only bottle...

Even finer and more elegant than 2016. Julian Haart is one of the new stars in Germany. A disciple of Keller. A lot of power combined with the lightness of a Kabinett. 92+

Absolutely electric bottle. RS almost completely hidden by the acidity. Mineral + white grapefruit. Not a ton of fruit here.
Took 30+ minutes to warm up... very tight out of the bottle.
Going to let my next bottle sit 3-5 years before opening
