Second of two bottles. This one seems a lot more tired. Not that interesting - some weight but it’s a bit meh really. Next day the remainder is really quite dark and remains dull.

Didn't detect anything faulty about this bottle, but it was surprisingly mature - relatively deep yellow in colour and more stately than zippy. Rich green and yellow fruit, like a low-acid Chenin, some menthol, wide-bodied and overall pretty tasty.

A wine that I really like recently. Gordello grapes not whAt I’m familiar with but consistently given surprises to the table. Very nice fresh citrus fruits, nuttiness and salt on the noses good focus and lift, just like a Chablis. Nice richness and saline complexity on the palate, great balance on top of the intense fruits. Good length, lingering w salinity. Everyone guesses burgundy!

Decanted to give some air, this is delicious. You can taste the warmth of the vintage, but the bracing acidity balances it very well. Somewhere between burgundy and Cali chardonnay. Quite evolved and such a classy drink.

Opened, poured a glass and left to sit for an hour or so. Lovely aromas, it’s somewhere between Chablis and Côte d’Or but with a twist, a lovely line of lemon citrus cuts through ripe orchard fruits, lovely mouthful, texture and finish

My last bottle of the 6 and I did enjoy this. A really interesting wine. Good acidity but also with richness and quite round. It is no surprise that this works brilliantly with tapas. It cuts through the fatty rich food but has enough strength and depth to stand up to the bold flavours. I would buy this again

Plenty of character, expressive. A big wine verging on sumptuous. Well defined, with an underlying richness. No idea how it will age - possible mid-term drinker.

This is a great wine, superior to '14 (which I also liked a lot, but which is a leaner wine with higher acidity). Lime, yellow apple on the nose, some nice minerality. Medium acidity. Velvety texture, harmonious wine altogether.

The first time a tried this I was a touch disappointed. But on returning to it I thought it was lovely. I'm not sure the alcohol is in balance however and so for me I am still a bit on the fence. I have 5 more bottles so will see how this evolves but would suggest a reasonable decanting time before drinking

Gorgeous warm nose - on first sniff I thought this was a really good white burgundy. Wet hay in the hot sun, fizzy apple. On the palate this is smooth on the attack, then very grippy and zingy approaching and through the mid-palate, and finishes nutty and mineralic. I am loving the multi-dimensionality of this wine. For sure the best Godello I've ever had. 14%, £39.

tasted next to 2014 Louro do Bolo. More depth on the nose - notes of white stone fruit, spices and herbs, minerality, lemon zest, green apple. Very tight and firm on the palate - lots of minerality and freshness, supported by ripe fruit. Very vibrant finish. Very promising. Hold. 92-93+

Initially closed (bottle too cold - grr!) Creamy, tropical aromas - banana, passion fruit. Silky, sexy, soft. Pleasurable and enticing. Vanilla and peaches and cream. Mmm.

Nose of tree fruits and buttery oak notes. Long finish and a brisk acidic spine make this shine with the rich fruit.
