Glunz Wine Tasting (Lincolnwood, IL): Walk around tasting. On the sweet side for Kabinett with good weight, but not nearly as complex or interesting as the 2011.

Notes of honey and flowers on the nose. Pear and lemon on the palate. Significant acid. Tingles the palate as if it has carbonation. Delightful Riesling.

As before. "Pale straw. Flinty citrus on the nose. Very nice acidic cut on the palate with some simmering lemon/lime rind and lovely sappy ripe peach sweetness. Very fresh, light and pure. I really like this. Very nice PQR." Great value.

Pale straw. Varietally correct, but this seems to be getting a bit tired. Seeming more thin than previously, it finished with notes of Schmidt's beer (no offense to Schmidt's lovers, I've had my fair share; just not what I'm looking for in a Mosel...)

Ripe, forward and intense. Vibrant fruit, quite sweet, with a balance of aggressive acid. Mineral, tropical and full. I'm finding less acceptance of the sweet lately but a good effort nonetheless.

Color of light gold. Scents of nectar, honey and pear. Tastes consistent with scents.

Pear, quince, and a hint of petrol. Off-dry with a slightly full texture and mild acidity.

Great acidity, lime, pear; palate is fresh, balanced, fabulous acidity; medium-long finish. Excellent value. 91+

Pale straw colored with a hint of frizzante. Lovely light sweetness with bright crisp acidity, granny smith apple and a hint of kerosene.
