Thursday, March 25, 2021 - Visitors from Auckland come bearing gifts (Wanaka Wedge House, Queensberry, Central Otago, New Zealand): As ever, a superb expression of Barossa. Opulent ripe bleach fruits, but with coaxing the nose offers uncommon complexities, including earth, leather, and stems. In the mouth, rich, but balanced. Tangy complexity. Not as “French” influenced as other bottles, but this has brilliant character.
