Thursday, July 30, 2020 - Discovering Italian Wine Class @ The Texas Wine School. Med garnet. Clean, complex, with med + tart black cherry, ripe plum, medicinal herbs, black tea, dried roses, forest floor, leather mushrooms. Subtle oak spice from 18+ mos in very large French oak casks. Dry, with med + acidity, pronounced but fine tannins and high alcohol (14%). Full-bodied, very well balanced, with intense flavors and a long finish. It is just now entering its optimal drinking window and should show well for many more years.
