Monday, April 29, 2019 - This wine initially looked worryingly dark and the nose seemed closed but with aeration the wine while remaining quite deeply green gold was a more correct colour and showed a lovely nose of white nectarine, lime zest, custard apple, Granny-Smiths and slate. The palate has plenty of zesty fruit and a core of rich texture balanced by that whip of acidity and slate driven minerality. A very decent Kabinett from a difficult vintage.
