Thursday, December 21, 2023 - This bottle of 2010 Pierre Gonon St. Joseph opened with an insane nose of cabbage and burnt hay, not unlike a Rayas CdP. The palate was more brooding - dark, stewed fruit and a long finish of green and white pepper and orange rind. Still young and tannic and can gain a point or two in another few years but my wife and I were glad to try this cult producer. 93+/100 for now.
