Still has a dark core. Evolved bouquet, with aromas of dark berries, dark licorice, cola, wet slate. It’s still concentrated and robust, with a full palate weight. Tannins are integrating and velvety. There’s a warming richness here. Half the bottle was consumed the following day, with negligible deterioration.

Expressive nose, with pear and apple, white pepper, yuzu, chalk. It’s a chiseled out wine at first. As it warms and relaxes in the glass, there’s a mineral, chalky feel and a delicious salinity. Works so well with or without food. Youthful now, but delicious all the same.

Dark cherry, hint of pomegranate, red currant, wet autumnal leaves. The fruit is clean and fragrant and develops and opens in the glass. Medium bodied. Fine and integrated tannins. Came across as a mix of Old and New World in style.

Dark core with clear mid-red rim. No bricking. Looks and smells youthful. Dark cherry, smoke, earth, leather. Medium to full bodied. Medium acid. Tomato leaf, tart (almost green) mouthfeel. Slightly grippy but fine tannins. Food friendly. Belies its age.
