Cork. 14.5% abv. Ruby and magenta coloured. Ripe black and purple fruits and florals lead to a juicy, mid-weight palate with savoury notes and mild mannered tannins. Perfect with wood fired pizza.

This is my first dolcetto d'alba but the first thing that screams out at me is the nose. I chilled it for half an hour and poured into my Zalto Burgundy glass.
Visual: Elegant ruby red with a magenta hue towards the edges. Medium bodied as I swirled it in the glass.
Nose: It showcases an incredible bouquet, very aromatic. Rich, dark red and black fruits, stewed cherry with herbaceous notes like sage and raw almond and some Hawaiian Punch Fruity Red.
Palate: On the attack you feel nice rounded edges, low tannin and high acid. Velvety in the midpalate. Smooth and elegant texture drinking really well right now. Drink this young as intended!
Food: Paired well with tomato pasta with sausage that my wife made.

I found this to be a joy to drink right now, moreso than the '16 was at this young age. There is a healthy dose of dark fruit, tart blackberry and concentration that really begs another sip on the palate. Hints of dark chocolate come on in the drying finish. So easy to drink.
