2/14/2023 - bedheadwine Likes this wine: NRSloOx for 4-5 hours. Strong tobacco and dark, dark cherry. Sweetness from heavy oak presence. Perfect accompaniment for American steakhouse dinner. Totally pleasant at this time. I was surprised to see it is 15.4%. Not sure whether it will develop any substantive tertiary elements. |

1/8/2023 - bedheadwine Likes this wine: NRInitially, gooseberry prominent on the nose, then more citrus and stone fruit both in smell and taste. Not as fresh and vibrant as a younger version would be. Not flabby either, but definitely enjoyable for someone who likes a bit of sauvignon blanc. We will be drinking the remaining bottles by the end of the year. |

12/22/2022 - bedheadwine wrote: NRWe opened this on December 5, 2022. Stored 500 ml in 500 ml bottle with no head room, and drank the remainder on December 22, 2022, with a beef stew with olives and capers. The nose initially had very little fruit or fragrance but then opened up to smell like cherries. The taste began on a sour note and ended on a sour cherry and tannic note. The consensus in this household is it’s not ready to drink. |
