12 2015 kabinetts, all blinded and served popped and poured.
My #2, group #4. Lots of reduction/sulfur. Plush mouthfeel with riper fruit and medium acidity.

My 11, group 6 (though on restasting not sure why I ranked so low). A bit grassier, medium acid, sweeter.

My 5, group 5. A bit green, similar profile to Merkelbach, but better balance.
My 3, group 10. Very funky nose, some found a lot of cat pee. High acid and peach.
My 8, group 11. Funky nose, a bit of spritz, apple notes. The Scha-fro funk combined with screwcap and pop and pour did this wine no favors.
My 1, group 2. My tasting note just says "awesome." The most apple-y of the bunch, not surprising. There's a good reason WIlli Schaefer is my favorite Mosel producer!
My 6, group 8. Very distinctive tangerine and apricot nose, completely different in profile from the rest.
My 4, group 6. Reduction, excellent creamy mouthfeel, nice acid.
My 9, group 9. Greener and more herbaceous with very high acid.
My 7, group 1. Crazy nose, a bit of spritz and apple, good acidity.
My 10, group 7. More fruit juice-y, lower acid, some grapefruit.
My 12, group 12. Stood out against the rest of the kabinetts. Reduced, much drier with some alcohol. Grassy.
Great tasting that showed off the ripe fruit and balanced acidity of 2015 in Germany.
