Pours dark ruby with purple. Loads of fruit, mostly black berries. Rich and voluptuous. Lots of intriguing notes, incense and camphor for example. Some Asian spices. Decent acidity, refined tannins but plenty of structure. Surprisingly long. Not the traditional Rioja but still lovely. (45 views)

Medium gold. Decently fresh for its age, still some grassy sauvignon blanc, sharp gooseberry. But overlaid now by beeswax, honey, almond and lots else. An almost oily texture. Long.
