Light-medium garnet. Floral red cherry and chocolate aromas. Flavours of red cherry, rose petals, some minty freshness, and vanilla. Grippy tannin, medium-high acidity and on the dry side.
Wine lacked complexity - very one dimensional with the flavours not well integrated. Tastes like a basic, light entry-level wine which doesn’t give justice to the Barolo label. This bottle is not the king of wines or the wine of kings. Quite disappointing given the effort to produce Barolo.

Dark ruby with very visible legs. Light aroma of ripe red fruits. Flavours of ripe red cherry, earthiness, and tobacco. Subtle persistent lingering of leather and spicy oak.
Rounded tannin, low-medium acidity and on the dry side. Bold and subtle, with nice balance despite its high alcohol level (14.5% ABV). Not complex but enjoyable. It also has a good degree of freshness. Easy drinking. Should go well with hearty stews, red and gamey meats, grilled vegetables, as well as cheeses.
Learning as I drink — Távora-Varosa is a small, often overlooked, region squashed between the Douro to the north and the Dao to the south. It is known for its white sparkling wines. This wine is Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca

Medium ruby. Dark fruits, a very light hint of chocolate and some oak. Medium tannin, medium acidity, on the medium dry side.
A very one dimensional mediocre boring wine. Not pricey but still disappointing. Skip it.
