Disappointed with this wine. Dundee Hills, 2008 and Stoller - you would think this wine should shine, however, it does not. Spritzy on the palate with simple straighforward cherry flavors and some earth and spice. The longer the wine is open the more the spritz dies and flavor develops, but, it is just too simple and straightforward a wine. Drink now and hang on to your other 2008 Oregon Pinots.

Nose is fruit driven, but not in a ripe way. Maybe, maybe mild florals...but I think that's a stretch. Little if any earthy notes. Color is translucent, vibrant magenta. Has life on the palate, but is young fruit driven. Again, similarity to decently made Cru B. Raspberry driven flavor...light zestiness on the palate probably a result of residual CO2. Holds well for a day or 2. None of the toffee oak notes of 2007. None of the smoothness. To me, this is one of the situations where the lack of the hallmarks of the "new world" are a negative.

Inviting aroma with abundant flavor of red fruit, light body, almost effervescent, with mild to moderate tannins. At 13.1% EtOH this wine is not hot which allows the fruit to come through It is dry with medium acidity and complexity. A pleasant long finish. Many Oregon pinots are created much too hot. This is a nice wine!

Garnet color. Nose of sweet red fruit. Dark fruits are made somewhat instinct by the prominent acidity. Medium body for a Pinot. Slightly short finish.
This wine really deserves to be paired with food; I'd think that a pork tenderloin would be an almost ideal accompaniment.

Medium garnet color, lively acidity, notes of burnt cherry, herbs and a hint of black tea. It's pretty simple, but a very solid bottle.
