Wow, purchased in 2011 for $26 a bottle. This stuff has really aged well. Tannins have mellowed out but this had the structure to go the distance. Soft fruit but well integrated and complex.

Really enjoyed this wine. I will submit more later but I think I will wait a few more years for my last 07 ladera. Still young spry, rich, bold fruit. Tannins have softened but zero evidence of oxidative ageing that can’t be explained away. Seriously I was not in the mood to over analyze this one but found myself falling away from the conversation around me and just admiring the wine and the experience.

Decanted for three hours. Still going strong. I wouldn’t hold these beyond a couple of years: a lovely and contemplative Cab, but I don’t see where greater aging would improve this noticeably.

Initially very backwards but after about 60 minutes became much more balanced and approachable. Surprised this is drinking as it is for a Howell Mtn. Hard to see how this evolves further.
