We opened this after finishing a bottle of the 2008 Unti Segromigno and it fared poorly in comparison. Decanted a couple of glasses for about 30 minutes. Never really opened up much. Tight and dry.

Consistent opinions from the tasters; well made but tight and tannic; needs food. 44% syrah 38 grenache 18 mourvedre. Still tannic day later with half bottle left. (momentary consideration of home blending it with the Copain GSM just tasted as well!)
Good nose but nothing extraordinary. Cherry from the Grenache is detectable.
Decent balance, mouthfeel and wine for a 20$ US GSM but nothing outstanding. Cellar time might change that.

Light but nice. Dry finish. Fruit up front.

California Rhone Blends (The Wine Country, Signal Hill, CA): Rich Rhone nose. Good Rhone character on the palate, but fades fairly quickly and becomes very dry. Perhaps some bottle age will improve this.
