  Unexpectedly good. This bottle was perfectly mature. Great tones of coffee and toffee on both nose and pallet paralleled with mature red apples,dried apricots and a nice acidity. Drink over the next 3 years.

  (Disgorged in 2012, 56% Chardonnay and 44% Pinot Noir)
  Wonderful golden yellow colour with an endless stream of fine bubbles. Very broad and expressive nose showing lovely notes of honey, chocolate and red apples in a maturing style. Palate with mature yellow apples and a round mid part before the lengthy acidic finish showing yellow plums and a hint of raisins as well. This is one of the better cuvées and a very good showing from the year 2000, and the transformation has been very well in the glass and it should continue evolving nicely over the coming decade or so as it concentrates on plums and more tertiary notes...
  Probably best 2015-2030

  Yellow colour with a stream of fine bubbles lead way for the maturing nose showing honey, chocolate and raspberries in a very pleasant way. Palate shows mature red apples combined with a hint of honey and still fresh acidity on the mid palate before the long finish showing a very nice intense acidity. This is one of the better cuvées from the year 2000 and with its intense and maturing palate it matched the porcini risotto perfectly and will probably reward some more years of cellaring for sure.. 🍾Probably best 2015-2030 🏅93p
