Agree with most previous notes, including the disintegrated cork. This is an inky, glass-staining monster of a Napa cab blend. All fruit, chocolate and oak and no nuance. Headache inducing after two glasses. Too much even for a coffee-rubbed, dry aged ribeye. The point is lost on me, but to each their own.

The cork crumbled and booked into pieces, half of it went inside the bottle. I didn’t had the conditions for a longer decant so I just did a 15 min double decant and filtered in both directions.
This was a beauty to put it simple. Big and complex Napa monster with a sensation finish.
Drank over 2 days (Coravin). Day 1 decanted for about an hour, and learned a lesson -- came out of the gate very big and tannic and never really settled down. On day 2 I decanted for about 3 hours, and what a difference. It took on an entirely different dimension. Had a silky yet earthy almost bordeaux feel to it, and the fruit was just singing -- plenty of blackberry and plum notes, interwoven with some tobacco and slate, and a great finish. Haven't been drinking a lot of California wine lately, but this ended up being a really excellent wine.

Fruit in rum, dense, sweet and opulent. Quite rich. Delicious!

Pleasing nose, grape jelly and powerful, full flavor. A little heavy on tanins, but eased on second glass after 45 minute decant.
