  • the wine developed and changed for the better over the course of the evening. Started as tight and sharp, slightly bitter and flabby in the beginning rounded out to a good wine with tinges of blueberry and blackberry, with a hint of a floral taste. It was medium-bodied with a lush feel

  • Pop n pour at the Broadmoor. I could smell the wine when the cork was pulled, 4 feet away. Dark purple toward opaque, the nose is laced with pencil lead, dark cherry, cinnamon stick and roasted meat. Seemingly weightless on the palate, yet large-scaled with its silky tannins and massive red and black fruits. This will no doubt add a point or two in the future as it loses a bit of its backward nature and fills out some. Highly recommended, 92+, drink thru 2019.
