Exactly what I'm looking for in a Ridge Zin. Currently at its peak. Perfect elegant balance between the rich zin/petite sirah classic fruit and secondaries combined with harmonious levels of tannin (with a little dusting at the very end) and just the right amount of acidity. Couldn't have asked for more

Deep ruby color with slight haze. Aromatic roasted oak, fleshy, bramble, ravenous wild vines. Full bodied with powerful flavors of black licorice, black currant, smoke & cracked pepper on long, lingering finish. Drinking nice now, do not hold any longer. Paired well with goat cheese lasagna.

Drinking very well, classic old vine Nervo with deep flavors and a long finish thanks to that 7% petite sirah. This opened up over 2 hours or so, faster than some other old Ridges such as carignan. Nice, big nose that went well with spicy sausage and lentils.

Past its prime. Drank with Indian food: rogan josh, chicken pasanda, salmon tandoori tikka kabob, and eggplant.

Drinking well now. Classic Ridge zin. Served with BBQ chicken & fresh-picked summer tomatoes with a chopped fresh herb topping.
