Paso Robles, Pre HDR: Barrel Sample - Interesting nose - tons of roasted, meaty coffee aromas. The impression of a heavily toasted barrel. Medium-bodied on the palate with sweet lush fruit. The palate on this is nice. Of Course Mona loves it and is imploring Michael to bottle it on its own. He refused, unfortunately. She cursed him all afternoon…maybe he and Stephan will reconsider….I thought the imagined blend was better to the Mourvedre on its own.
