PnP at a Brazilian restaurant in Coral Gable with my friend Jaime.
The wine was a bit alcoholic and acidic for the first 5-10 minutes (right out of the bottle upon opened), but when a little contact with air did the trick it gained in body, character and complexity. This is a beauty at this point in time. Long and pleasant finish!
Great now but no rush either.

Last one, and a very good one at that. After I removed that annoying half-inch thick engulfing plastic cap off the top, almost slitting my wrists with an oenophile bowie knife in the process, I was privileged to find a crumbling mess of a cork. I manage to decant the wine with tools I did not know I had and discarded the 5-pound hulk of a bottle. Then things got a little better. The wine itself was very good. Nice soft tannins, reasonable, if modest, acidity (and I'm big on acidity). Cocoa, with deep and rich fruit. Long velvety finish. It overperformed, even if the packaging was a disappointment. It is not about to go downhill, as best I could tell. Should hold up for a long time.

We drank this bottle as part of our 7th anniversary (second leg) at Ruth Chris in Aventura.
The sommelier at the restaurant had issues pulling out the cork but later he filtered and placed it in a decanter, we started drinking almost immediately and it was very good from the start. The peak came around minute 10+ and stayed up there for the whole hour. We paired it with a T-bone medium rare and mashed potatoes and creamy spinach.
The wine is medium plus in body, nice female sexy nose, the body is a bit more masculine, is dark with a good bite coming from rounded and fine tannins. Very good mid palate and finish. This wine really puts on a big show tonight!

PnP and cool down for 30 minutes inside the fridge then drank over 2 hours paired with 45 days aged Rib Eye medium.
The wine is bold, multidimensional and well structured to keep on improving. During the 2 hours it keep improving a little. I think a short 10-20 min decant would have benefit, I'll do it next time around...

Quick 15-20 min decant and consume over 1 hour. Full body, solid structure, well balanced and multidirectional, fabulous finish.
