Tasted September 17, 2005 at home with a dinner of Chicken Bouillabaisse. Purchased from a local retailer for $25.49 per 750ml. Opened and served immediately in Spiegelau Authentis WeissWein glasses. Light color for a rose, almost looks like the skin of an unripe apricot. Nose was watered down strawberry and pear. Flavors were mild earth or bitterness (not in a bad way, like the skin of a piece of peach), apricot and crème de fraiche. Very light style, hard to get much off the nose or palate. Recommended pass on a QPR basis. Too many Anjou in the $7-10 dollar range to have instead. Glad I tried it nonetheless.

  • Very good with bacon and bluefish. (Not as good with salmon and lobster).
Behaves like a pinot noir: would pair well with grilled chicken and/or turkey.
W/ pairing, good spice and depth of fruit flavors.
A gift from Christophe and Renata: very kind!
