I don’t give many wines a 95 or higher. This deserves it. In every way. Palate, nose and value given how well this has held up. 17 year old Pinot noir. Wow.

Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (J&J's): Blind. Deep color- doesn't show its age. Opens with perfumed floral aromas along with raspberry, violet, rose water and Chambourd notes. Medium-bodied. Abundant sweet, ripe fruit on the palate, very pure and fresh, with hints of clay and cola. Asian spice elements in the long finish.
This is drinking beautifully right now, and had been double decanted off its sediment nearly three hours before service. Glad to have one more which I'll place in the queue to enjoy within the next few months.

With Duck/Beluga Lentils…. Delicious, starting to show its age a little alcohol first 10-15 minutes but then Very savory, forest floor and dark cherries. Great acidity for Food. Drinkup by 2024.

Ruby red, needed 90 minutes of airtime to open up to a pleasant mixed berry nose. Dense berry fruit, good acidity, smooth medium length finish. This cuvee seemed a bit lighter than the cuvee Elizabeth which we drank a few days ago. It has aged well.
