Very dark red, dark berry, iron, meaty nose, medium weight, no funk, nice overall balance. Used for an old world vs new world (2011 Saxum) comparison. Both wines were excellent and the difference in styles highlighted. Would be quite happy to drink either one again.
Petrol nose with a touch of lime, yellow color, peach/apple fruit, stones, pepper, complex and smooth on palate. Good acidity and smooth long finish. Overall, an excellent wine with broiled Alaskan lingcod.

dark red, no bricking, mixed berry, medium length finish. Fruit is starting to fade a bit. Still a decent wine with roast chicken. Time to drink up.
