Decanted for about five hours. Color super dark, blackish purple. Nose is immediate of smoke, blackberry. Palate is full not hot at all. Nicely balanced, elegant. Smooth and luscious flavors of plum blue/black berries. Lasting finish that makes you want another glass. One of the better Syrah's I have had recently. 5,13,16,6=90

Half of this bottle went into my braised short ribs.
I don't have much to add to what fingers said. This is probably my favorite syrah and well worth the price. The nose is fantastic and rather than repeat was he said I'll just refer you to his notes. I have yet to find a cut of steak this can not accompany with wonderful results, but it is also very enjoyable by itself. (4+13+17+8)

Very dark purple, almost fully opaque with thick legs and a good deal of sediment. Followed the progression over 24 hours. Started off with a massive bouquet of flowers and dark fruit balanced with white pepper, mocha, mud, and oak. It was a clean, unctuous, high octane, delicious explosion of very Barossa-like flavor at it's best. Big body, medium tannins, low acidity, 15.6% worth of magma (Not for the faint of liver). Long finish and quite memorable in that I find it so Australian. Appealed to the former bourbon lover in me :) A medium-rare filet was a very nice compliment. It lost a lot of intensity and energy overnight so I suggest a short aeration before consumption. 5+12+17+7 = 91
