Appearance: dark cherry/mulberry - less developed than I expected. Nose: moderately complex. Some fruit still there - red fruits and plum, just not prominent as you'd expect. Wood smoke, some liquorice, earth and spice and a hint of dark chocolate. Palate: full to medium bodied. Rich fruit but not too big. Tannins have softened nicely. Nice texture, moderate finish. Not spectacular but a pleasant surprise. Great value and still drinking nicely but probably not for much longer.

Well, for what I supposed to be an over the hill wine, I’m drinking my last two bottles. I pulled one out to see if it was good enough for Sangria. No Sangria for the last two.

light red in color. brown sugar, pepper, spice, on the nose. cassis, sweet, red berry, spice, on the palate. rich, well rounded, with a lingering finish.

Bought for $20 as a bin end, which is about the current vintage price. Somewhat powdery, more complex fungal notes than newer bottles, typical red berry flavors. Cork was somewhat crumbly.

Nicely matured with remaining fruit notes both on nose and palet. Great wine
