Good dark fruit on the front, even mouthfeel. A little too much zin for my palate, but not overly so. Pretty even finish. Nicely paired with BBQ and chocolate stuff.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- we don't deserve Ridge. Every wine they make is great. This one we put up against Desire Lines' version of a similar wine (their's is more Carignan) and the Ridge won for its elevated balance of bright fruit with dark, silky undercurrents. That said, the Desire Lines was great fun, just louder. The Boomers beat Gen Z this time.

Very raw. The inside of the barrel is still lingering around the fresh fruit compote. Not at all fleshy with narrow, light tannin. The acidity of course is excellent on this. This vintage needs some integration time. Not the fruit concentration for a long cellar rest though. Very nice.

Surprised at the delight hitting palate on first sip. While very young it's drinkable now. Great with a Bolognese and garlic bread. Company loved it.
