  • Definitely a bigger style with a lot of oak. Fruit forward with some tannins. If you’re looking for the style and polish that you might see in +1 or For the Love of the Game, you’ve simply come to the wrong place. If you’re looking for a good value, fun to drink wine while those other wines cellar, this is going to be your jam.

  • We run to lower publicized wines from great winemakers. Sorry we did on this wine, as it was horrible. Nose: Dark fruits, woody, leather, a sense of a richer big flavor. Taste: Smoky and Merlot like. We decanted this for 2 hours, and kept acting like it wasn’t decanted. Once we realized we had done the right thing by decanting, here were our thoughts. Bitter, impossible to find fruit. A disgusting tannin bomb, that should not be drank yet. Tastes like a shitty blend that you might get at a low end steak house. Does NOT inspire me to buy the many $135 offerings Rasa offers. Avoid this garbage, as they should have put this down the drain. I might be interested in trying their $135 offerings. But NEVER this garbage in a bottle again.

  • Ripe, 45th parallel plum and candied cherry on the nose and palate. A hint of violets and maybe sassafras. Big with oak, big with the fruit and big with the tannins. About equal red fruit and dark fruit flavors. It actually kind of works. Could easily age a bit or use a decant. There is more than enough acid to hold things together. It’s not just fruit and oak. There is some pepper spice, red licorice and graphite. There is some of that stemmy vegetatative stuff.

  • Solid for so young of a wine. Definitely "in your face" on day 1, with bright red and black fruit, oak and vanilla flavors. Calmer on day 2, with the oak integrating more and the fruit not so aggressive. Quite a delicious pairing w/grilled burgers. Drink now w/air - 2031.
