Full body and bold with jammy texture. Still tasting young and will benefit with another year or two in bottle, but still very enjoyable now. Another great year for Ridge East Bench

Perfume on nose with black tea & hint of orange rind. Red currant, mulberry & boysenberry. Dry, medium finish with cherries jubilee wrapped in cream. Opened up on 2nd day, really fantastic! Suggest holding for 2-3 years.

Very soft and smooth texture - not too jammy like many great zin's, drinks more like a cab. Seems like it can age in the bottle for several years, though delightful to drink now.

We really enjoyed this Ridge offering; lots of pure dark red and black fruit (cherries, blackberries) and balanced American oak (incense notes). A classic zinfandel that can be enjoyed now or might smooth out with a few years in the cellar. I don't sense this is one for long aging though. I appreciate how the new oak is in balance on this one as these days I find that Ridge tends to over-oak their wines.

Perfectly balanced despite the almost 15% alcohol with oak and fruit in harmony
