  My first HP Grenache. I am a fan in general of the Baron Syrah of all labels and in particular the HP Syrah. This Grenache had the characteristic funk, but seemed more spineless than the Syrah. And not very Grenache-like, more like a weaker version of the Syrah. Some pepper on the nose, some nice fruit and spice and gamey flavors on the palate, but just not the richness I associate with HP. And a bitter note on the finish that was distracting.
  Obviously very young and early days so maybe I will like it better when the more aged Grenache flavors set in. Bought 3 more 2021’s so hoping for some evolution.

  Tasted this wine with a grilled prime rib. It was outstanding with luscious black Berry. Current and rich t Tannin's absolutely delicious.
