I’d be loathe to call this a Super Tuscan” actually. The wine is much too bright on the palate and wavers between light and medium bodied. Ripe cherries are to the fore, with soft, albeit lush, tannins. Hints of vanilla, cola and mild spice are nicely homogenized, though the juicy finish surprisingly short. Nevertheless, a highly enjoyable, well crafted Tuscan wine undervalued at $12.99.

This was a bottle from the WSJ wine club. The notes provided say it is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, a 'Super Tuscan' blend. It is a lovely medium red. Soft tannins, medium acidity, bright red cherries, and a fairly short finish. It is a perfect pairing with tonight's chicken Parmesan. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality, hopefully the other wines will be as good.
On a side note, the bottle is beautiful!

Nice daily drinker, especially for the price

Wow! What a surprise, a really nice bottle at a very modest price, impressive. Great drinking even at this young age.

Very good Italian wine, brings you to Italy with every sip. Distinctly Italian, light to medium bodied with robust flavor
