Dark ruby-purple in the glass with long legs. Nice aromas of blue and black fruits, pepper, musk, and violet on the nose. The palate shows blackberry, raspberry liqueur, new leather, and sweet raw meat flavors. Medium bodied and balanced, with light chalky tannins.

Dark colour. Nose of dark red fruits and masses of bacon fat. Plenty of sweet, red fruits and bacon fat on the palate with a certain amount if spice too. Quite a lot of heat with the tannins.

Not sure why the CT community feel this needed to be consumed by 2009. The wine still has several years to go. Inky purple, luscious fruit, soft tannins, mildly disjointed initially, but came together after an hour. 14.3% alcohol - unusual for Martinelli?
