  • Hmmmmm......this bottle was very perplexing. Decanted for over an hour...great color but a bit shy on the nose. Not as expressive, smooth or balanced as my previous experiences with this vintage. It had a slight sour note to it but not to a flaw or a potential corked situation. Had with pot roast and later with dark chocolate. Hoping my next bottle is more in line with the previous bottles I've enjoyed. Drink or hold.

  • Decanted for approximately an hour and a half. Gorgeous deep purple hue. A beautiful nose of baked blueberries and baking spices. Super yummy on the palate and so well balanced with supple well integrated tannins. Juicy red and dark berry fruits up front with some cardamom on the back and a long and lovely finish. I fell in love with this wine at a Darioush dinner back in August. This is the best expression of a Mt. Veeder cab I've ever had at such a young age. Simply beautiful! Drink now for it`s opulence or hold for even better things to come.

  • Had this at the Darioush Estate dinner. WOW! What a stunner. Was up on My. Feeder earlier in the day touring Mayacamas when I was shown the Darioush Sage Vineyard. I had no idea they'd be serving this wine and was blown away by its volume, breadth, structure and taste. The Veeder fruit is amazing. Sheer yumminess. So approachable at this age, I can't imagine where this will be in five years. This was my wine of the trip after tasting the likes of Paradigm, Salvestrin, Mayacamas, Futo and Kapcsandy. Drink for its shear hedonism or hold for better things to come.
