Fruit bomb but not too slutty. Pronounced aromas of blackberry and dark fruit with some sweet vanilla oak, herbaceous sage, and cocoa. The sage distinguishes WA from Napa for me. Not super complex but drinking well at this stage with a 2 hour decant. About medium acidity with velvety tannins.

Tasted at Wine & Spirits Top 100, NYC. 80% new French oak aged, but I would never have guessed that if I had not asked. It wears it well. Big and savory but still somewhat “pretty”. Not over-extracted, but nice acidity and balanced fruit tones. Solid but doesn’t jump out at you. Probably needs cellaring and aeration.

Classic fruit forward Washington State Cab- what's not to love with a rare NY Strip!
Lots of black fruit, vanilla and some smoke (they were obviously not shy with the oak).
Full bodied with great flavor concentration and a delicious finish. Bottles of this don't last long which is always a great sign.
Not sure if its worth aging these wines, but this will easily hold for another decade.
