There may be two bottlings of this. This bottling notes the name ""Proprieta Olinto Grassi e Figlio" on the label. Is there a separate "Terra di Lamole" bottling ? Fairly light color. These grapes are grown at high altitude resulting in a wine of only medium weight and real restraint. Nothing exaggerated here. The understated ripeness that comes from a higher elevation climate. The fruit is very red toned and turns towards sour cherry only on the back end. Fine grained tannins. Subtle in its persistence. My kind of Chianti. Delicious easy drinking. Maybe not for the biggest weightiest dishes. Drink perhaps in the next year or so. Primo !

Maybe I expected less from notes below, but what a nice CC. Great bright dark red color. Some dusty flavors, but lovely red fruit on the nose and palate. V. nice balance, v. nice finish. One of the better sub-$20 Chianti Classico wines I've had. Bravo.

Lamole of course - the high altitude informs the weight of this wine, which, when measured against that of several other Chiantis tasted together, has a certain lightness. Attractive Sangiovese fruit with good ripeness and some floral notes. Acid. Mineral. Lovely. Perhaps for earlier drinking.

pretty pleasant straight forward Chianti with a bit of acidity and forward red fruit. Good balanced finish of strawberry, raspberry and red currant. enjoyable.

Garnet color typical of Sangiovese, with an added slight tinge of copper. Floral on the nose, jasmine-like. Upfront punchy acidity with tailing rounded tannins. Light-bodied, with hints of raspberries and cherries.
While not as big fruit-wise as some Sangiovese in my memory, I enjoyed it quite a bit and found it well balanced.
