This wine is the girl in the red dress that you knew in college - very vivacious, a little sweet, a little slutty and a lot of fun. Definitely a 93.
It starts off with a wonderful nose of strawberries, ripe cherries and blueberries. Those follow through as the first tastes followed immediately with a strong, deep powerful oak leading to a balanced finish with mild grippy tannins and a pleasant warmth.
Based on the 16% ABV, if you are lucky enough to finish the bottle with your significant other, she may become that girl with the red dress. As for me, I felt like I had two left feet when I got up from the table.
Paired nicely with strip steaks, maple Cole Slaw and an orzo salad with asparagus, olives and feta.
PNP at 55 degrees with just a Mollydooker shake.

Spices, plums, oak on the nose. Good acidity, mellow tannins, fruit forward like every other young Australian Shiraz - plums and currants and sweet spice with kirsch paste and menthol notes on the medium ending. Good, unpretentious everyday wine.

After a bad wine day with two flawed bottles, I turned to this which is always a safe bet.
