Has been 2 years since last had this vintage and it was exactly what it needed. Gave it 45 minutes or so in the decanter and it really allowed the cherry/orange/spice notes to come out from the beginning. Lots of flavor in this dark ruby colored wine. It was very smooth. Drinking well now but has plenty of life left in the bottle.

Very pale ruby. This is a controversial style of Pinot Noir, for sure, but I think it is well done in the context of what it is. On the nose this smells sweet, like one is standing in a pastry kitchen, as it presents a mélange of red and black fruit aromas, ranging from fresh red cherries to black cherry jam to dried strawberries and blackberries; behind that there are notes of burnt toast, maple syrup, vanilla and oak spice. Medium to full bodied on the palate with velvety tannins, this is certainly rich and the alcoholic heat is something one cannot miss, but there's ample acidity here - more than I remember on other Sea Smoke Pinot Noirs - that gives this some sense of vitality and balance. This isn't for me, but others will surely swoon for it.

2019 vintage. Nice couple next to us shared this (and the Cristal Champagne) with us at the Mindi Abair concert. Consistently scrumptious SeaSmoke pinot noir with the earthy nose and smooth palate. Still a little young. Shows great promise.

Not my favorite Seasmoke….very light and Burgundian…and not nearly as smooth and flavorful as other vintages
