Another well made Landmark Pinot. My first of the Hop Kiln label vineyard which Landmark purchased a while back. I have been aging these for a while myself but my brother purchased one and brought it to our Christmas Eve party. I got black cherry, some spices, and ripe fruit and oak on the palate.

Really strong and in your face for a Pinot. Not much finesse or elegance. Nose is strawberry, fig, dried fruit, and a bit of oak and nuttiness. Shortbread or even fig newton.
Not a bad wine, but not my taste for Pinot noir.

Medium-deep reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, boysenberries & raspberries with overtones of dusty/earthy & spice notes of cloves & cinnamon, some floral notes of roses, cola, minerals & a slight hint of oak/vanilla. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, mulberries & cranberries with spices, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but should develop further with additional aging.

Beautiful aromatics. Red fruit, black raspberries, dusty, earthy, whiff of spices. Full but not weighty, lovely texture, excellent vinosity and purity of fruit. Loads of energy and personality. Black tea intensity on the flavorsome finish. Outstanding.
