Light yellow. Very reticent when first opened, with the flinty, tart character of the sauvignon dominating. The high acidity is most apparent, but as the wine breathes and opens, the fruit begins to emerge. This is a wine that is too young to drink now but worth the investment for cellaring 2-5 years in the future. From the young vines at Château Carbonnieux.

Grapefruit, peach pit, with just a touch of lime. A beautiful blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon with a hint of sweetness and a sublime balance.

Drinking well. Mature now and a few years ahead. Stone fruit and a bit of lemon. Nice quality.

A bit citrus heavy, but a nice body. Some tart stone fruit flavors.

Very good even if yet too young and a bit abrasive.
