Citrus and other green fruits on the nose, with pleasant waxy notes emerging over time. Tangy, rocky minerality on the palate with some nice textural presence. Very enjoyable.

Lemony, carries a richness and maybe the creamy accent on the edges of the wine kinda whispers to me lemon curd. There is a warm spice to the flavor, too. Finishes with a lemony flint, and the warm spicy inflection, like a touch of fennel.

Dinner at Long Ji: Wow most of us were in Puligny for this, including myself. Thought this was a 2017 as it showed restrained citrus fruit and a good amount of drive and tensions. Had a fair bit of oak that lent it seriousness but well-integrated. Punched way above its weight, quite similar stylistically to Dureuil-Janthial. Very good.
