  • Brought to Italian BYO restaurant. Slow ox'd for 6h prior.

Very consistent with my prior note from 12/17/22. Great balance of old world character and subtle riper fruits. Excellent quality and value, drinking in a great spot. Similar score at 92 range.

  • Consumed over the Christmas holiday, writing from memory.

Very nice wine and a great value for Brunello. There was ample cherry fruit that was somewhere between dark and tart, and then trending towards aged and drying notes. There was good earthy character as well. Definitely has tannins and acidity to go the distance, even after 3h in the decanter it didn't settle out.

Drinking well now with 2-3h decant, but my sneaky suspicion is this would do better with a 1h decant and then back to bottle for 24h. Really nice.

  • Ended up giving it 4 hours of air, which is what it took to really open and display some “thicker” aromas

After only an hour, it came across as almost “thin” and somewhat astringent on the nose, but at around hour 4 it was alive! Strawberry, cherry, licorice, brambly; with a nice juiciness in the middle.

I wish the finish were a bit longer, but all in a all, a nice Brunello

  • This wine is all about elegance and reminds me ins some ways of a Burgundy. Lots of depth in the nose with notes of black raspberries, earth, spice box and leather. Medium bodied palate, with plenty of red fruit, well balanced with bright acidity, and good tannic structure. The finish goes on and on. Excellent for slow tasting on its own, but equally goes well with a meal. Lots to like here, and will certainly get better in another 3-5 years.

  • Tasted at a trade tasting in NYC. Attractive light to medium garnet. Florals, cherry, smokey, nice deeply flavored fruit. Good structure of high acidity, and medium+ tannin. Very nice.
