Still very young. Decanted 5 hours, drank over several hours on Christmas Eve. Dark fruits, ripe cherry, cassis, without be over done. Very age worthy and very typical of the Lede Diamond Mountain Cab.

Still young but plenty of upside. Decanted for only 30 minutes and drank my glass over another 30 minutes -- was improving with each sip. This is inky and brooding with its muscle outpacing the deep dark fruit at the stage I drank it. If more air or age allows the fruit to blossom, this can be special.

The 2017 Diamond Mountain is. a special elixir, akin to a fine perfume. Incredibly dark and brooding , the explosive aromatics offer up blueberry liquor, juniper, pine and loamy gravel. The full-bodied mouthfeel is filled with decadent chocolate ganache, fig jam, tobacco, tar and minerals. The succulent and savory finish is a heavnly fresh and mouth watering experience that crescendos with generous amounts of sweet tannin and extract.
